What are Rural Health Centers?
Rural health centers are located in rural and underserved NC communities. The centers offer basic health care to all residents.

Who is eligible?
Anyone may receive basic health services at the rural health clinic.

To make an appointment:
The Yancey County Health Department is accepting new patients. Please call 828-682-6118 ext. 10.

Rural health services include:
  • Complete physical exams
  • Limited physical exams (employment, college, etc.)
  • Sick visits
  • Chronic disease management
